About us – Virtual safari guide during Covid , Yes it all started during covid.
I was born in Zimbabwe and grew up in Pretoria, South Africa. My wife Liesel born in East London South Africa, grew up in Pietermaritzburg. As a child we went camping, on bush walks and on safaris in Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Mozambique and various areas in South Africa. Mostly the Kruger National Park.
I had the incredible privilege to serve at Bethel for 22 amazing years. It was at Bethel I met my beautiful bubbly wife Liesel. In April 2024 we will be married for 27 wonderful years and together we have continued in the special full time service for 30 odd years.
Only because of Jehovah’s underserved kindness we are able to continue in the privilege of special full time ministry as Special pioneers and we so grateful to still feel useful as we strive to do our best in our assignment which remains our focus.
Whilst monitoring our health and maintaining balance during lockdown we have been looking for ways to do as much as we can in our assignment by giving specific attention to our return visits with the goal of starting bible studies. Taking time to help them come to love and appreciate Jehovah.
An amazing lesson we came to appreciate from SKE is being interested in our brothers and sisters. The internal ministry within the congregation, within the brotherhood. By means of Zoom we are able to meet many dear brothers and sisters from all over the world. How we are and have been encouraged by these brothers and sisters when joining them in zoom field ministry and meeting new ones on various bible related virtual tours. This made us wonder how can we within our circumstances, without having it affect our assignment, bible studies or health encourage our worldwide family?
We live in South Africa, a country in Southern Africa that is known for its incredible wild life. People from all over the world pay thousands of US$ euros and pounds to visit South Africa and enjoy the African bush.
I am not a tour guide or a game ranger but I can share my knowledge and experience as a lover of Jehovah’s creative works. Many of our friends, brothers and sisters will never be able to travel to South Africa.
This gives us the opportunity to share personal photos, videos and footage collected over time from various sources to show but a glimpse of some of the overwhelming beauty of our great God Jehovah.
These presentations are private and educational and in no way theocratic teaching or a teaching meeting. Neither is it a social event but an educational presentation to encourage the friends during lockdowns and possibly beyond, we realize many of our friends are homebound and these safari presentations may give them some wholesome entertainment as well as encouragement. It is intended to help build an appreciation for our wonderful God Jehovah by observing the things he has wonderfully made. Romans 1:20
There are no bookings, fee or charge, it is totally free.
We do not do this for money but for the interchange of encouragement. You are welcome to use this feature and watch the pre-recorded versions.
Presentations were designed for covid to encourage the friends housebound by extension for the many elderly who are unable to leave home.
We hope these presentations will enhance your appreciation for our great God Jehovah as you remain busy in his work, the most important work of making disciples of all people.
